PRSA Silicon Valley Opens Applications for Diversity and Multicultural Scholarship Fund for the 5th Consecutive Year

Mountain View, Calif., March 31, 2025–PRSA Silicon Valley, a community-driven organization focused on empowering communications professionals in Silicon Valley, today opened up applications for its annual 2025 Diversity and Multicultural Scholarship with a deadline to submit of April 30, 2025. Get ready to shine, future PR stars!

Now in its 5th year, this exciting opportunity is designed to support and uplift the next generation of diverse communicators in the public relations field. In partnership with 501(c)(3) charitable organization, PRSA Foundation, the fund includes a total of $8,000 to award $2,000each to four students.
In December 2024, PRSA Silicon Valley proudly contributed 100% of the proceeds from its annual Media Predicts event to the scholarship fund.
According to a McKinsey & Co report, companies in the top quartile for both gender and ethnic diversity are more likely to outperform their peers. The Silicon Valley Chapter is actively focused on doubling-down on supporting opportunities for diversity and strongly supports PRSA’s recent position and commitment to DEI.
The scholarship aims to empower students from historically disadvantaged or demographically underrepresented minority groups who are pursuing careers in public relations, communications, or related fields. With a commitment to fostering a more inclusive industry, PRSA Silicon Valley provides financial assistance and mentorship to help these talented individuals thrive.

"We’re committed to investing in the future of public relations by supporting diverse voices and perspectives,” said Jeannie Entin, President-elect of PRSA Silicon Valley. “By investing in student development, we are preparing the next generation of visionary leaders to carry the torch in our communities. We can’t wait to see the incredible talent that applies and look forward to helping future communicators.”
Applications are open now through 11:59pm PT on April 30, 2025. Interested candidates can find more information and apply here. Eligible applicants must be enrolled in an accredited college or university, demonstrate a passion for public relations, and showcase their commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion within the field.
